The cases and deaths, linked to the relevant counties, were then displayed cartographically. In this study, 3108 counties, distributed across 49 states in the continental USA, were included. County-level air pollution levels from 2017 to 2019 were considered long-term exposures, whereas the cumulative COVID-19 cases and fatalities, reported at the county level through May 13, 2022, were employed as the outcomes.
