A study was conducted at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital to evaluate a hybrid uniportal robotic-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (RATS) methodology, integrating video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) staplers. This research project focused on the motivation to receive SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and the variables impacting this decision, across six ethnic groups in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
We scrutinized the data of the HELIUS cohort, a multi-ethnic, population-based study including participants aged 24 to 79, concerning SARS-CoV-2 antibody results and vaccination intentions, gathered between November 23, 2020, and March 31, 2021. SARS-CoV-2 vaccination eligibility, in the Netherlands, during the study period, expanded to incorporate healthcare personnel and individuals aged over seventy-five. The degree of vaccination intent was determined by two 7-point Likert scale statements, categorized into three groups: low, medium, and high. We employed ordinal logistic regression to assess the link between ethnicity and a lower desire to receive vaccinations. Our assessment of vaccination intent also included determinants stratified by ethnic group.
Including a total of 2068 participants, the median age was 56 years, with an interquartile range of 46 to 63 years.
